Brief Introduction of Tibet

Tibet (Tibet Autonomous Region) is located in Southwest China. Is the highest region on earth, with an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft). It is sometimes referred to as the roof of the world. It covers a massive 1,220,000 square kilometers (470,920 square miles), which is about 12.8 % of the whole of China. Lhasa is Tibet's traditional capital and the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region. Lhasa contains the world heritage site the Potala Palace and Norbulingka, Lhasa contains a number of significant temples and monasteries, including Jokhang and Ramoche Temple. Tibet also offers awe-inspiring scenery of beautiful lakes and valleys. Tibet is majestic scenery, mysterious and exotic religious culture, and long history allure more and more tourists every year.
